Working With Us
What is your typical project timeline?
Timelines vary based on scope and methodology. We’ll provide a detailed timeline for your study during our initial consultation. However, we typically ask for 2-3 weeks of recruiting time between receiving the screener and the date of your study.
How do you ensure data quality?
Quality is paramount. We prioritize human-to-human interaction during our screening process. Our recruiters will have a live conversation with each recruit to verify their information and ensure they are articulate and enthusiastic about participating in your study.
Do you offer ongoing research partnerships?
Yes! Many of our clients engage us for continuous studies. This approach allows for deeper insights over time and often provides better value than ad-hoc projects. That said, we are also happy to recruit for one-off project as well.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is customized based on methodology, sample size, geographic scope, and analysis complexity. We provide transparent, detailed proposals so you understand exactly what you’re investing in.
Participating In A Study
How do I get started?
To get started, register in our database at https://lonestarmarketresearch.com/participate/
This will add you to our email list and we can email you when we have opportunities for you.
How does it work?
In short, you’ll paid for your feedback on a product or service.
Once you’re registered for our database, you’ll receive emails with a survey when we have a new study available. Participants will be selected from the pool of responses to those surveys.
Focus groups usually consist of 6-8 participants and a moderator leads the group discussion. Compensation depends on the amount of time the study takes and the content. Sometimes we ask you to participate in a one on one interviews or usability studies with a researcher. Or at times, studies are conducted in your home or at a local place of business. We will never attempt to sell you anything and we will always keep any information you provide us secure and confidential.
How do I get paid?
After successfully completing your study, you will be paid by the facility that is hosting the focus group. For virtual studies, you will typically receive an email from Tremendous with more instructions on how to claim your payment. This email usually sends 48 hours after the end of a study
How are participants selected for a study?
The criteria for each study varies widely, and these are determined by the companies that initiate the focus group. This may include demographic criteria (age restrictions, specific locations, etc) or more attitudinal criteria (like what you think about a specific brand).
We look through all responses submitted to our pre-screening survey and identify who would be a good fit for each specific study. If your responses indicate you’d be a good fit for a study, a recruiter will reach out to further verify your information. Unfortunately, we are not able to contact everyone who is not selected.
*Please note that you will not be compensated for responding to a pre-qualifying questionnaire; you will only be compensated if you are invited and complete study.

Is my information confidential?
Yes! Privacy is very important to us. Lone Star Market Research will never sell your data, and we ensure that your information is know only by a small team directly involved in your study.
